An R9 works all day. Hot, cold, pressure up, pressure down. The gaskets in the valves go through every one of these movements, and at some point they give way: unnoticeably at first, then as a damp edge that is already there in the morning before the first cup runs.
This kit bundles the valve gaskets of the Rocket R9 in a single order. They seal the seats in the valves, hold the brew pressure at the group and prevent water from escaping where it has no business being. Part number S299906074.
The kit is due when water keeps running for longer than usual after the valve closes. When the pressure on the gauge no longer holds steady during extraction. When moisture appears under the machine with no clear source. And when, on opening, the old gaskets are flattened, hard or torn.

The gaskets sit in pressurised valves inside the machine. Before any work, the machine must be disconnected from the mains, depressurised and cooled down. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions. The replacement belongs in the hands of a qualified technician who can dismantle the valves, assess the sealing seats and then check for leaks under pressure.
For cafés and restaurants with an R9 whose service is coming up and who want the parts on hand beforehand. For service technicians who don't want to juggle individual O-rings. And for businesses that finally want to get rid of a wet spot under the machine.
In the same service it is worth adding the gasket kit for the lever of the R9. More parts for Rocket machines can be found in the Rocket accessories and spare parts section, the full range in service parts and spare parts. If you want to bring the machine fully up to scratch, you will find cleaners and descalers in machine and grinder cleaning.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Our routine, not a manufacturer's specification: we photograph every valve before dismantling it. With several gaskets that look alike, this is the quickest insurance against mix-ups during reassembly. Afterwards, the machine runs under pressure for half an hour at our workshop before it goes back to the counter. During that time we brew test cups, usually Nutty Delight, because fluctuating pressure shows clearly in it. For cappuccino we use Cozy Chocolate, for full body Very Nutty. More in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. The kit contains only the gaskets. Valve bodies, springs and plungers are separate spare parts.
The contents correspond to the manufacturer's kit. Send us the serial number and we will clarify what your machine needs before you order.
The gaskets sit in pressurised valves inside the machine. We recommend installation by a qualified technician.
That depends on the number of shots and the water hardness. Many businesses schedule it as part of their annual service.
Yes. We are happy to show it to you in our showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
