Cams are control parts: they convert a rotary movement into a defined switching movement. In an espresso machine they sit where a lever or rotary movement has to become an opening and closing action – and because they touch the same points with every shot, they wear in there after years of use.
You notice the result as an imprecise switching point. The lever no longer engages clearly, the movement feels spongy, or the position no longer matches what the machine is doing. This set combines three cams so that they are all in the same condition.
The switching point on the lever is unclear or drifts. The movement is jerky or has play. The old cams show rounded edges, grooves or material wear at the contact points. Or the machine is going in for an overhaul and the control mechanism is being renewed as a whole – which is exactly what this set is made for.

For service workshops renewing a control mechanism completely, and for technically skilled owners who order by part number. If you're not sure about the number, we'll clarify it together beforehand.
Since the assembly is not documented to us, the set may sit in a pressurised area or near mains voltage. Disconnect the machine from the mains, let it cool down and depressurise it. Cams must be fitted in the correct position – a twisted cam changes the switching point. We recommend installation by a qualified technician and deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions here.
The camshaft for the brew group with part number C219900425 is the most closely related item in the catalogue – however, the documents do not say whether the three cams in this set belong to it. Also matching are the brew group diffuser, the group gasket 8 mm and the categories Rocket accessories and spare parts and Original spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our routine, not a manufacturer's specification: before we take a control mechanism apart, we take two photos – one in the rest position, one in the working position. With cams, the angular position is what matters, and it is forgotten surprisingly quickly after removal. Two pictures on the phone have saved us more time than any tool. Once everything runs again, we pull a shot as a check: Nutty Delight is our standard, Cozy Chocolate the sweet counter-check, Very Nutty the candidate for milk. More under coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
This is not evident from the item description available to us, and we won't guess here. What is stated is the content of three cams and the part number R299905887. The obvious candidate is the control mechanism of the brew group, for which we carry the camshaft C219900425 – but the connection is not confirmed. Send us the serial number and ideally a photo, and we'll clarify it together.
The item description states three pieces. We do not have a more detailed parts list, so we make no claims beyond that.
The description makes no mention of them, so we don't assume so. We carry such parts as separate items.
It's possible, but rarely sensible. Cams wear in together; a new part between two old ones immediately takes on the uneven load.
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring your machine's serial number and we'll check the fit together at the counter.
