Weber Workshops EG-1 Refresh Kit – maintenance kit
Sometimes it's nice to bring the inside of the grinder back to how it was on the day it left the workshop. The Refresh Kit brings together the most important wear parts of the EG-1 for exactly that.

What's inside
One spout wiper, five sets of replacement wipers, one microfibre pad for the lower burr carrier and one microfibre pad for the lower bearing mount. The microfibre pieces are precision die-cut and have a 3M industrial adhesive backing, so they fit exactly – just like the parts fitted at the factory. The wipers are individually die-cut; the double-sided adhesive is set back from the edge, so it never comes into contact with the coffee. Two alignment holes make swapping them easy.

How often to change them
In a café, roughly once a month as needed; at home, hardly ever. With simple brush cleaning, the microfibre pads last for many years.

Roastery tip
If retention rises noticeably or more grounds stay stuck in the chute, that's often a sign it's time to renew the wipers. A fresh set brings the EG-1 back to almost zero retention. That's our recommendation, one of many.
