A grinder goes with a scale. For anyone who wants scales that are affordable and precise: Normcore. If you want an app, Bluetooth and flow rate display: Acaia. Suitable products for grinder care are in Machine and grinder cleaning. Our advice tool shows which grinder suits your machine.
Mahlkönig lists part number 305457 for EK43, EK43 S and EKK43 with a serial number after 549819. The serial number is on the rating plate of the grinder. If you are unsure, send us the model and serial number at [email protected].
Mahlkönig lists two adjustment knobs for the EK43: the newer version (305457) for serial numbers after 549819 and an older version for earlier units. The serial number of your grinder is what counts. You will find both under Grinder accessories and spare parts.
You can see Mahlkönig grinders live in our showroom in Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). We are happy to check in advance by email at [email protected] whether the spare part is on site.
Tip from the roastery: The knob sets the grind size, the bean does the rest. For espresso we start with a brew ratio of 1:2 by weight and adjust to taste. For most cups we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, dense, round and chocolatey. For maximum body without acidity there is Very Nutty, and if you want to discover something fruity, you will find it in Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
