You lock in the portafilter, pull the shot – and through the open bottom you watch the espresso first drip, gather, and then merge into a rich, honey-coloured stream. A bottomless portafilter shows you every detail of your extraction.
The universal portafilter body is made of stainless steel, comes without a basket and fits both La Marzocco and Rocket Espresso machines. The spring is included.
What sets it apart
Without a spouted bottom, the espresso falls freely from the basket – so you immediately see whether your puck extracts evenly or sprays in one spot. This makes the bottomless portafilter an honest companion when dialling in grind size and distribution. It is combined with all La Marzocco baskets for use in a La Marzocco machine, or with all Rocket baskets for a Rocket machine. It does not fit Bezzera machines with a Bezzera brew group. No, the body comes without a basket. You combine it with your existing La Marzocco or Rocket baskets.
Will it fit my machine?
It fits La Marzocco and Rocket. It does not fit Bezzera machines with a Bezzera brew group. If unsure, we're happy to check against your model.
