The Appartamento TCA is the further development of the Rocket Appartamento. TCA stands for Temperature Control Adjustment: boiler pressure, and with it brew temperature, can be adjusted. The machine was designed by Valerio Cometti + V12 Design and is handmade by Rocket Espresso in Milan.
Rocket offers five colour combinations: body in stainless steel or matte black, circles in white, black or copper. This version has a body in polished stainless steel, circles and rear strip in copper, and a gloss black logo. The colour changes nothing about the espresso, only about its presence on the counter.
Features of the Appartamento TCA
Temperature Control Adjustment
Boiler pressure adjusts from 0.9 to 1.2 bar in 0.1 bar increments, with a factory setting of 1 bar. According to the Rocket 2026 catalogue, the control works as a hybrid with PID support and offers four presets. Higher pressure means higher brew temperature, so you can match the machine to your bean.
Heat Exchanger and E61 Group
A 1.8-litre copper boiler with heat exchanger supplies the reworked E61 group. You brew and steam milk without switching between temperatures. The boiler is insulated to save energy. Rocket states clearly better thermal stability compared with the previous Appartamento.
Standby Function
The machine goes into standby after 30 minutes, or the function can be switched off. The factory setting is 30 minutes.
Water Tank with Reserve Sensor
The Appartamento TCA works with a water tank. A sensor signals when the water level reaches the reserve. It also comes with a wider drip tray and a new portafilter.
The Design in Detail
Rounded Sides
The rounded contours give the side view a new shape. The Rocket logo now runs vertically.
Embossed Circles
The characteristic circles on the sides are embossed, giving them a three-dimensional look.
The Brew Group
A strong, clean shape. Rocket describes it in three words: strength, reliability and precision.
Steam and Water Valves
The classic Rocket valves have a slimmer shape. Steam and hot water output remains powerful.
