Rocket NOW Edition – Heat Exchanger with E61 and Shot Counter
A closed stainless steel body, round side vents, a display up front with a shot counter — the NOW is the matured take on the Appartamento. Espresso builds dense and calm out of the E61 group, and the oversized gauge stays composed within the pump pressure range.
Coffee Coaching Club is Rocket's partner in Switzerland. Your purchase includes our private barista course (in German or English, in Bern or Zürich), where we walk you through extraction and the espresso ritual.
All the features at a glance
Heat exchanger with E61 group
A heat exchanger with the classic E61 brew group in a thermosiphon circuit: brewing water circulates continuously from the insulated copper boiler through the group and back. That keeps the brew temperature stable, even when an espresso follows right after a cappuccino.
Closed stainless steel body
The closed body with round side vents stabilizes temperature and gives the NOW its own presence.
Professional tilt valves and a larger drip tray
Instead of turn valves, tilt valves handle steam and hot water. The enlarged drip tray (carried over from the TCA) makes longer sessions possible without constant emptying.
Front display with shot counter
The display shows the shot timer clearly, but without being intrusive — a helper while you learn, never a requirement.

Who it's for
For anyone who wants a compact machine with the consistency of a classic heat exchanger machine — a slim 27.5 cm width, simultaneous brewing and milk steaming, a front display that helps without pushing itself forward. Wanting it is enough of a reason.
What pairs with it
The grinder shapes your espresso more than the machine does. Affordable, from the Varia Collection, or more from the Eureka Coffee Grinders or Weber Workshops. Tampers and distributors in the Tamper Collection, scales at Normcore or Acaia. To help you choose, the Machine Comparison Tool.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the NOW and the Appartamento?
Same platform — heat exchanger, E61 group, copper boiler. What's different: the closed stainless steel body, tilt valves instead of turn valves, the larger drip tray, the oversized gauge, and the front display with shot counter.
Can I brew and steam milk at the same time?
Yes. As a heat exchanger machine, the NOW has a steam circuit and a separate brew water circuit through the E61 group — both run in parallel.
How long does heat-up take?
Around 15 to 20 minutes, typical for a heat exchanger machine with E61.
Can I see the machine before buying?
Yes, at our showrooms in Bern and Zürich. Delivery across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 working days, with Click and Collect and financing through Heylight available.
Roastery tip
In a heat exchanger machine, a dense, chocolatey-nutty cup develops especially beautifully. Our Cozy Chocolate and the Nutty Delight are a reliable place to start; if you're after maximum body without any acidity, try the Very Nutty. That's our recommendation, one of many.
