CHEMEX Filter Paper FP-2 (Half Moon) – for 3 Cup
A sheet of thick paper, shaped into a cone, in the neck of the small Chemex: 100 Chemex Bonded Filters FP-2 for the three-cup models.
Chemex states that the paper is 20 to 30 percent thicker than most other filters. It holds back coffee oils and fine particles, which makes the cup clear and clean. The filters come unfolded as a half circle and are shaped into a cone before use.
How strong you brew is up to you. For filter coffee we usually start with around 60 g of coffee per litre of water and go by weight, not by the clock. Our opinion is one of many.

Which Chemex do the FP-2 filters fit?
According to Chemex, the three-cup models Classic (CM-1C), Handblown (CM-1) and Glass Handle (CM-1GH) as well as the Funnex.
Should I rinse the Chemex filter before brewing?
That is up to you. Many rinse the filter briefly with hot water; it removes the paper taste and preheats the carafe. Pour off the rinse water before brewing.
