Eureka chute protective cover – so the front of your Zenith is closed again
The protective cover sits on the discharge chute and covers the area where the ground coffee comes out. It keeps fingers away, it keeps dust in the channel, and it is the surface that regularly takes a knock when the portafilter is inserted.
Because it is small and inexpensive, it is often dismissed as cosmetic. In fact, it is the part that keeps the chute area clean and closed – and that is exactly why it should not stay in use broken for months.
When it is due
When the cover is cracked or chipped. When it no longer sits properly and shifts as the portafilter is inserted. When ground coffee collects around the chute that was not there before. And when the plastic has become brittle and splinters at the edges.

Who it is for
For anyone with a Zenith 65 whose cover has taken a knock – this happens faster than you think if the portafilter is inserted a little too briskly. And for anyone refurbishing a used grinder.
What goes with it
Right next to it are the discharge chute including flapper and the grinding chamber cover. The grounds tray catches whatever still misses. For care, see machine and grinder cleaning; more parts under Eureka.
Tip from our workshop
If the cover breaks a second time, it is almost never the part's fault. Usually the grinder is positioned so that the portafilter is inserted at an angle. A few centimetres more distance from the wall solves the problem for good. This is our observation from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards, we use Nutty Delight, for chocolatey notes Cozy Chocolate and for body Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the grinding chamber cover?
No. This cover belongs to the discharge chute, the other one closes off the grinding chamber. We carry both as separate items.
Does it fit the Zenith 65 E HS and the NEO?
Yes, both versions are intended. Part number 4400.0019 helps you check against your service documentation.
Is the part in stock?
We procure this cover specifically for each order. Drop us a short message and we will tell you the current delivery date.
Can I fit it myself?
As a rule, yes. Unplug the grinder first and check whether the discharge chute underneath is still in good condition.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
