Matcha Set Green – Buy Japanese Tea Ceremony Set Switzerland

Green is the color of matcha itself. The Matcha Set Green doesn't make a metaphor out of it – it's a decision for consistency. No decor, no contrast, no excess. The bowl in your hand has the same color as the tea created in it. For all those who find the essence in reduction.

Three tools, one purpose

Matcha is not brewed but whisked – at 75–77°C, with the chasen, until a fine layer of foam forms. The Matcha Set Green contains exactly what is needed for this: Matchawan, Chasen, Chashaku. No superfluous parts, no extras. If you also want the chasen holder, you can find it in the Sakura Set. If you want the ritual in its most reduced form: here it is.

What's included in the set

Matchawan Ceramic bowl 400ml – for whisking and drinking
Chasen Handmade bamboo whisk – creates the fine foam layer
Chashaku Bamboo spoon – for precise dosing of matcha powder
Design Green – natural, reduced, harmonious
Material Natural materials – ceramic and bamboo

For all who appreciate the essential

The Matcha Set Green is for all who don't need decoration to appreciate a moment. For all who prepare matcha daily and want a set that merges with the ritual instead of standing out. And for all who are looking for a gift that says: I know what you really need.

Available in our showrooms in Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) and Bern (Gerberngasse 44). Delivery throughout Switzerland in 2–4 working days.

The accompanying setup

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the three matcha sets in the range?

All three contain Matchawan, Chasen and Chashaku made from natural materials. The Sakura Set comes in cherry blossom pink and additionally includes a chasen holder. The Traditional Set is geared towards the Chanoyu ritual. The Green Set is the reduced, natural model – color and form follow the matcha itself.

What water temperature for matcha?

75–77°C – boiling water destroys delicate aromas and creates bitterness. A kettle with temperature control like the Varia AURA FLUX reaches this temperature directly.

Why is the ceramic bowl 400ml?

400ml is the traditional size of the Matchawan for usucha – the thin matcha. It provides enough space for the chasen to create an even foam layer without splashing. For koicha, the thick matcha, less water is used – the bowl is the same.

How do I care for the chasen without a holder?

Rinse with lukewarm water after each use – never in the dishwasher. Let it dry lying on a clean cloth so that the fine bamboo prongs retain their shape. If you want a holder, you can find it separately or in the Sakura Set.

Can I see the Matcha Set Green before buying?
