Rocket Appartamento TCA drip tray with grid – tray and grid together, a clean fresh start
The area under the portafilter is the most heavily used surface on the whole machine. That is where the pre-flush water lands, where the cups stand during extraction and where you give it a quick wipe after every shot. Tray and grid therefore age in step.
This item brings both together. It is the right choice when both are due anyway – and it saves you wondering whether a new grid will really sit flat again in a warped tray.
When it's due
Coffee brings more than eight hundred compounds with it, and some of them settle as a greasy deposit – in the tray as a sticky film, on the grid as dark discolouration in the punched holes that at some point can no longer be brushed away.
Then there is the mechanical side: a grid that rocks at one corner, a tray with a crack, water on the counter when the tray is only half full. When both come together, replacing the set is worth more than repairing it in stages.

For everyone with an Appartamento TCA whose tray and grid have put their years behind them together. And for everyone who simply wants a fresh start under the portafilter after taking over a machine or buying one second-hand.
What goes with it
If only one part is due, both are available separately: the drip tray without grid and the drip grid.
For the older Appartamento without TCA, we carry the drip tray without grid Appartamento with the matching grid. These go together with the plastic collection container and the sealing plug with O-ring.

From our workshop
We never put the new grid into the new tray dry; instead, we rinse both once with hot water before they go on the machine. Manufacturing residues are inconspicuous, but they are there – and the first espresso tastes better once they are gone. Our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer's instruction.
When sliding it in, take a look from the side: is the grid at the same height at the front and the back? If not, the tray is not fully in – and later it will drip onto the counter right there.
With it, in Bern and Zurich we like best to drink Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate and, when it should be completely free of acidity, Very Nutty. You will find the whole range in our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for your order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Yes. The old tray is pulled out towards the front and the new one slid in. No tools are needed.
