La Marzocco Group Head Gasket incl. 2 Anti-Shock Plates for KB90 – Original Spare Part
Every time the portafilter locks into the KB90's group head, an unassuming gasket has to absorb the full pressure of the extraction – tight, dimensionally stable, heat-resistant, shot after shot, over hundreds of pulls a day.
On the KB90, the saturated group head delivers a particularly even temperature behavior, regardless of the number of groups. The group head gasket sits exactly where portafilter and group head meet, and the two included anti-shock plates additionally protect the material from the recurring temperature swings it's exposed to during locking and unlocking.
Why this particular part gets replaced so often
Rubber loses elasticity over time under recurring heat and mechanical pressure – a process that progresses faster on high-frequency machines than on occasionally used ones. A group head gasket that no longer seals completely shows up first as water leaking at the side of the portafilter, or as a portafilter that becomes harder to lock in.
The included anti-shock plates extend the lifespan of the new gasket by cushioning the direct heat shock on contact with the group head.

Who it's for
For everyone running a KB90 in daily operation, where water leaks at the side of the portafilter or locking it in has become noticeably harder. One of the maintenance tasks that comes up regularly on heavily used machines.
Goes well with

The roastery tip
A machine in continuous operation deserves beans it can rely on. Our main recommendation: Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, dense, aromatic, full-bodied. For maximum body with zero acidity: Very Nutty. For anyone wanting to discover a fruity experience: Wild Peach, vibrant and always a discovery. Our recommendation from the roastery, one of many.
