What does a puck screen do?
It sits on the tamped coffee bed, spreads the water more evenly across the puck and keeps the brew group's shower screen clean, because no coffee grounds are pulled upwards when the lever is raised.
What is the difference from the PVD version?
This version is bare 316 stainless steel without coating. The PVD version additionally has a dark titanium PVD coating. Normcore offers the 0.2 mm version only with titanium PVD.
Does the 58.5 mm puck screen fit my machine?
It is made for 58 mm portafilters. According to the Normcore size chart, that means E61 brew groups, most commercial and home machines with 58 mm, Gaggia and La Marzocco. For Breville/Sage with 54 mm, there is the 53.3/54 mm size.
How do I clean the puck screen?
Rinse thoroughly with water after use. For stains, clean with Cafiza or a burst from the steam wand.
