Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Pot Brown – cold coffee with no effort at all

Ground coffee into the strainer, cold water over it, lid on and into the fridge overnight. The next morning you pull out the strainer and pour cold-brewed coffee – soft, sweet and without the bitter notes that arise with hot brewing. The Mizudashi makes cold brew as easy as filling water.

Glass carafe made of heat-resistant glass with a removable plastic strainer – versatile, also for cold-brewed tea. Made in Japan.

Who it's for

For anyone who loves cold coffee in summer – mild, sweet and low in acidity, because it is cold-brewed. Being able to grind coarse is an advantage: the grind for cold brew is coarse, like for the French Press. You will find suitable grinders in our coffee grinder selection.

Roastery Tip

For cold brew you grind coarse and let it steep overnight. Chocolatey, nutty roasts like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight give a soft, sweet cold brew with plenty of body. This is our recommendation, one of many.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make cold brew in the Mizudashi?

Put coarsely ground coffee into the strainer, pour cold water over it and let it steep in the fridge for around 8 hours (e.g. overnight). Then remove the strainer and enjoy.

Which grind do I need?

Coarse – similar to the French Press. Coffee ground too fine can pass through the strainer and make the cold brew cloudy.
