Can the Comandante grind espresso?
Yes – and excellently so. With the standard burr set, you can easily achieve espresso fineness. With the Red Clix upgrade, you have twice as many steps for fine-tuning. Many of our customers use the Comandante as their only grinder for portafilter and filter coffee.
Comandante C40 vs. Timemore – which is better?
A different league. The Comandante offers higher grind consistency, more durable burrs, and a significantly more premium feel. Timemore is an excellent entry-level option with outstanding value for money. Comandante is the endgame. Anyone who cranks it once immediately understands the difference.
How long does a Comandante last?
With normal use: decades. The Nitro Blade burrs are made of hardened steel and retain their sharpness for many years. All individual parts are available as replacements – this grinder is built to be repaired, not replaced.
Which knob should I choose?
Purely a matter of taste – all knobs fit all C40 models. Natural oak for Scandinavian minimalism, smoked oak for dark setups, colored beech wood knobs for personality. And yes, you can change them at any time.
