A block of stainless steel that carries every turn of the crank
Turning the crank, you feel right away that nothing here wobbles. The housing of the C60 Baracuda Stone Washed is machined from a single block of stainless steel – a manufacturing method usually reserved for high-performance engine parts. This unibody holds the entire drivetrain stable, so the power of your hand goes straight into the burrs instead of into flex and play.
At its center sits a 60 mm burr set with optimized edge geometry. It delivers two to three times the bean throughput while staying pleasantly light to turn. The grind size ranges from coarse for filter coffee to super-fine for espresso and cezve/ibrik – a wide range you can fine-tune in detail. Because with espresso, what matters in the end is that it tastes good to you; this grinder's even grind consistency gives you a reliable foundation for that.
Fine adjustment is handled by the GX50 Gold Clix system with its fine thread. Each click shifts the vertical burr gap by 41.6 µm, moving the target particle size by around 21 µm per click. No shot is ever quite like the last – the beans, the humidity and you yourself change every day, and that's exactly what makes it exciting. Whether the 60 mm version is right for you is a question of wanting it, not needing it. Our opinion is one of many.
