Markibar Tamper – Fixed-Mounted Tamper for IZAGA and ORHI
With a fixed-mounted tamper under the outlet, you tamp the dose right at the grinder without putting the portafilter down.
Original spare part from Markibar: the fixed-mounted tamper for the IZAGA family (IZAGA W, TFT and KEY) or for the ORHI (A and B). According to the operating manual, you tamp the dose with the tamper before the portafilter goes into the machine; the grinder then grinds the next dose. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Markibar.
Two versions
The two variants differ in fit: one for the IZAGA family, one for the ORHI. From the factory, Markibar fits a 57 mm tamper base on both grinders and includes a 53 mm tamper base, so that the diameter matches the basket of the espresso machine.
Evenly tamped coffee offers the water the same resistance everywhere. That is one of the foundations of an even extraction, because water looks for the easiest path through the puck.

Who the tamper is made for
For anyone who wants to replace or retrofit the fixed tamper on an IZAGA or ORHI. Markibar also supplies both grinders without a tamper; if you prefer to tamp by hand, you work with a hand tamper. Both are legitimate, our opinion is one of many. You will find the grinders in the Markibar collection.
What goes with it
If you tamp by hand: for anyone who wants a tamper that is affordable and precise, the spring-loaded tamper from Normcore; if you want more, the tampers from Weber Workshops. More models under Tampers, plus puck screens under Puck Screens.

Tip from the roastery: An evenly tamped puck shows what is in the bean. With Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight that is body, chocolate and nut, with Very Nutty maximum body without acidity, with Wild Peach a fruity side. That is our recommendation, one of many.
