Flair Wizard Steamer – Stovetop Milk Steamer for Microfoam
Buy the Flair Wizard Steamer in Switzerland: a stovetop milk steamer with pressure gauge, Cool-Touch steam wand and two tips. The Wizard generates its own steam on the hob and needs no espresso machine with a steam wand.
Water into the kettle, lid with pressure gauge on, onto the hob. As soon as the needle sits in the steam zone, the Wizard is ready. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Flair Espresso.
Features of the Wizard Steamer
Steam like a café steam wand
According to Flair, the Wizard matches a commercial café steam wand in steam dryness and power. That lets you texture milk into fine microfoam for cappuccino, latte and cortado.
Milk for latte art
Latte art needs finely textured milk. Flair says it used the Wizard during the morning rush in cafés in New York.
Pressure gauge and Cool-Touch steam wand
The pressure gauge has a marked steam zone and shows when the Wizard is hot and ready. The steam wand is Cool-Touch, so you can grip it without risk of burns.
For almost any stove
The Wizard works on gas, glass-ceramic, electric coil and most induction hobs, and heats up quickly. Flair lists induction stoves from Bosch, Thermador Freedom, LG and KitchenAid as exceptions. A camping stove works too.

Who the Wizard Steamer is made for
For everyone who wants to bring milk to café texture and has no machine with a steam wand. For example as a companion to a manual lever machine from our Flair Espresso collection, which makes espresso only, or to any other brewing method. Our advice tool helps narrow down which machine suits you.
For the milk you need a pitcher. For everyone who wants one that is affordable and precise: the milk pitchers from our Normcore collection. If you want more choice in shape and spout: the pitchers from Rhino Coffee Gear. You will find all models in our barista milk pitchers, and the Flair pitcher with removable handle and the Flair milk thermometers in the Flair collection. A full-bodied bean from our coffee beans goes well with it.
Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 working days, Click & Collect in Bern and Zurich. We answer questions via [email protected] or by phone during business hours.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an espresso machine for the Wizard Steamer?
No. The Wizard generates its own steam on the hob, independently of an espresso machine. It complements machines without their own steam wand, for example the manual lever machines from Flair.
Which stoves does the Wizard Steamer work on?
On gas, glass-ceramic, electric coil and most induction hobs. According to Flair, it does not work on induction stoves from Bosch, Thermador Freedom, LG and KitchenAid.
How do I know the Wizard Steamer is ready?
By the pressure gauge: when the needle sits in the marked steam zone, the Wizard is ready. An automatic pressure relief valve releases excess pressure.
What are the two tips for?
A one-hole tip and a three-hole tip are included. According to Flair, one is meant for getting started, the other for practised latte art.
How much milk can I steam with one fill?
The kettle holds 700 ml of water. According to Flair, that is enough for up to 6 litres of milk.
Can I see the Wizard Steamer before buying?
In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) we show a large selection, but not the entire range. Write to us at [email protected] before your visit and we will check whether the Wizard is currently on site.
Tip from the roastery: For milk drinks we recommend full-bodied beans that come through the milk: Cozy Chocolate with chocolate and caramel, Nutty Delight with nut, and for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. If you like it fruity, Wild Peach reveals another side. When texturing, we aim for a milk temperature of around 60–65 °C, and a milk thermometer helps with that. This is our recommendation, one of many.
