Four spots you touch every day look different in the evening than they did in the morning, and suddenly the machine feels like yours.
This set goes further than a single handle: it includes two rotary knobs for hot water and steam, plus two portafilter handles. Two, because the Pro 300 comes from the factory with two portafilters, one with a single spout and one with two spouts. After the conversion, the look is consistent throughout, without changing anything about the machine's technology.
The effect is real, even if it can't be measured in the coffee. Design and feel come into play before the first sip, and what we take in with our hands colours how we taste. Then there's the anticipation itself: the body releases dopamine while anticipating, not only while enjoying. A handle that feels good stretches that moment a little every morning.
The wooden parts are made in Germany, are not stained and are oiled against moisture so that the real-wood feel remains. Walnut is evenly dark, olive wood shows a striking grain. Nobody needs a conversion kit to make good espresso. You either want it or you don't, and if you want it, you usually know exactly why. Our opinion is one of many.

For anyone who wants to convert their Pro 300 in one step rather than piece by piece. For anyone who likes wood and stainless steel together. And for anyone who has taken over a used machine and wants to give it their own signature.
If you only want to swap the valves, you'll also find the rotary valve handle set on its own in the portafilter handles and replacement handles collection. The machines themselves are in the Profitec collection, and in Bern and Zurich you can also get your hands on them.
Once the portafilter has new handles, it's worth looking at what goes into the basket. For anyone who wants an affordable dosing funnel with a clean magnetic fit: the Normcore dosing funnels and dosing cups. If you want more elaborate craftsmanship: the dosing cups from Weber Workshops. Both keep the ground coffee where it belongs.
And if milk comes into play: for anyone who wants an affordable, well-shaped milk pitcher, the Normcore pitchers are the obvious choice. If you want thicker material and a finer spout, go for Rhino or Weber Workshops. No budget is merely a starting point here.
Specifically for the Profitec Pro 300. We deliberately don't name other models here, because the handles fit differently depending on the series. If in doubt, send us your machine's item number and we'll clarify it before you order.
Two rotary knobs for hot water and steam plus two portafilter handles. The Pro 300 is supplied from the factory with two portafilters, one with a single spout and one with two spouts, which is why two handles are included.
Walnut is evenly dark and looks calm. Olive wood shows a striking grain, and every part turns out differently. Both are unstained and oiled against moisture, so it comes down to taste, not technology.

A converted setup is a good moment for fresh beans. From our coffee roastery, Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are the ones that go out most often: dense, sweet, full-bodied, with caramel, chocolate and nut and a long finish.
If you're looking for maximum body without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty. And as a discovery for the curious: Wild Peach, light roasted and fruity. That's our recommendation, one of many, and any bean you enjoy is the right one.
