Subminimal Contactless Thermometer – temperature without touching
You point the small device at the milk pitcher or the cup, one press of a button, and the temperature appears instantly on the display – without having to dip or wipe anything.
Subminimal's contactless thermometer measures the surface temperature of coffee and milk foam using infrared sensing. It is the handy companion to the FlowTip pitcher and keeps the process clean, because nothing is held in the milk.
Why temperature matters
Whether espresso, filter coffee or milk foam – the temperature helps decide how the drink tastes. As a guide: espresso around 90–96 °C, filter coffee around 92–96 °C, milk foam around 60–65 °C. With a measuring accuracy of about ± 0.1 °C you reliably hit your target range.
