What makes the AKU PRO stand out
The PRO builds on the AKU Mini and expands it: a larger platform of 130 × 110 × 18 mm ensures more stability, from espresso to pour-over and larger quantities. It measures with 0.01 g up to 1 kg and with 0.05 g up to 2 kg. The 64-bit OLED color display shows the brewing parameters color-separated, which makes it easier to monitor during extraction.
The AKU Flow mode is designed for pour-over and shows the brew ratio live, while the AKU Spro mode provides real-time feedback on ratio, dose, and water yield for espresso. The scale connects via Bluetooth to apps like Pressensor and Beanconqueror and stays current via firmware updates. The housing is CNC-machined with a 0.02 mm tolerance and IPX6 protected against strong splashing water.

AKU PRO or AKU Mini?
The AKU Mini is particularly flat at 13 mm and fits on narrow drip trays such as those of the La Marzocco Micra. The AKU PRO, on the other hand, offers more surface area, a color display, higher capacity, and the AKU Flow mode for pour-over. If you do a lot of filter coffee or weigh larger quantities, the PRO is a good choice.
What goes with it
The AKU PRO works with any espresso machine, such as from La Marzocco or Rocket, and with any grinder from the Varia Collection. For pour-over, brewers and filters from the Filter Equipment are suitable.

For pour-over, we use the AKU Flow mode: brew ratio live in view, then pour in calm infusions. Start with 1:16 (e.g., 15 g coffee to 240 g water) and adjust to taste. This is our recommendation, one of many.
