A set of 71 mm burrs made from hardened special steel for the Mahlkönig Guatemala, Mahlkönig's shop grinder. According to Mahlkönig, the grind range goes from espresso fine to French press.
Over time, burrs lose their sharpness and the grind becomes less uniform. Particle size and uniformity determine how the coffee extracts in the cup. Burr sets are like engines: there is no objectively best one. Our opinion is one of many.

We answer questions about the process by email at [email protected].
Tip from the roastery: After a burr change, we reset the grind size and weigh coffee and water. For a dense, full-bodied coffee, we reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, round with notes of chocolate and nuts. If you want maximum body without acidity, go for Very Nutty. If you are curious about a fruity cup, Wild Peach is a complement to discover. The full selection is in our coffee beans. This is our recommendation, one of many.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
