The Victoria Arduino Eagle One Prima is the single-group home variant of the Eagle One, handcrafted in Italy. It brings the NEO-Engine, a saturated group head and app control into a slim housing available in many colours.
Nobody needs a machine in this class to make good espresso, but you might want it anyway – for the saturated group, the colour on the counter, the feeling of the morning shot. That decision is legitimate, and we describe it as what it is.
NEO-Engine: heats only what you need
The NEO-Engine (New Engine Optimization) works with an instant-heating system: only the amount of water you need for the shot is heated. Two insulated stainless steel boilers retain heat instead of releasing it. According to Victoria Arduino, this gives the Eagle One around 23 percent less environmental impact than machines in the same category – and energy consumption drops noticeably in everyday use.
Saturated group head and volumetric dosing
The Prima shares the same platform as the Eagle One with saturated group head. A saturated group keeps brew temperature very stable and, in our observation, delivers a more refined aroma profile than an E61 group – others see it differently. Volumetric dosing hits the shot weight to within around 0.5 grams. With espresso there's no right or wrong: grind size, dose and ratio are the variables to adjust, and a good starting point is 1:2.
App, Ghost Display and Pure Brew
The E1 app lets you set brew and steam temperature, switch the machine on and off remotely, and save recipes to the cloud that you can share or brew again. The Ghost Display on the machine offers three programmable buttons. The auto-purge system cleans the group after unlocking the portafilter, and the steam wand is Cool Touch, making it pleasant to handle. With Pure Brew you can also brew pressureless filter coffee – through a patented conical double-layer filter. On request, the automatic milk frother EasyCream completes the setup.

What goes with it
A machine is only as good as what's freshly ground beside it.
