Kikooni Cosmetic Bag “Oh Leo Cosmic Lilac” – hand-printed cotton
Lilac as the base tone, black leopard spots with lime-green centres, and a pink tassel on the zip. “Oh Leo Cosmic Lilac” is a compact cosmetic bag, small enough for a handbag and with four side inner pockets for hand cream, lipstick or sunscreen.
Kikooni is a label from Munich, founded by Claudia and Adelheid Zähle. The bag is made in a small workshop in Jaipur, India: the cotton fabric is printed by hand with wooden blocks (block print), followed by Kantha stitching with cotton thread on a sewing machine. A handmade tassel on the zip completes the design. As every piece is printed by hand, the pattern sits slightly differently on each bag than in the pictures.

Care
Kikooni recommends a maximum of 30 °C on a delicate cycle, with the bag turned inside out and in a laundry bag, using a mild detergent without bleach, enzymes or optical brighteners. Add a colour catcher sheet to the first wash, as the natural dyes may still release some pigment. Check the method on an inconspicuous spot first, then let the bag air-dry, ideally in the shade. No tumble dryer.

This version is lined with striped cotton. Kikooni also makes the design with a water-repellent polyester lining.
Can I wash the cosmetic bag?
Yes, according to Kikooni at a maximum of 30 °C on a delicate cycle, turned inside out, in a laundry bag and with a mild detergent. Add a colour catcher sheet to the first wash and let the bag air-dry, not in the tumble dryer.
