Kikooni Cotton Bag “Poppy Tiger” – sports, beach and weekend bag
Orange and pink in alternating stripes, with large tigers on top: according to Kikooni, the cotton bag “Poppy Tiger” is meant as a sports, beach or weekend bag. A bath towel, trainers, water bottle and a change of clothes fit inside, plus a cosmetic bag.
The bag is made for the Munich label Kikooni in a small workshop in Jaipur, India. The cotton fabric is printed by hand with wooden blocks (block print) using natural, azo-free dyes and then finished with Kantha stitching. Outer fabric and lining are cotton, which keeps the bag light and flexible.
The main compartment closes with a zip and has an inner pocket; two more pockets sit on the outside. The bag is carried by its two handles. As every piece is printed by hand, the pattern sits slightly differently on each bag than in the pictures. Items shown as decoration in some pictures are not included.

Care
Kikooni recommends a maximum of 30 °C on a delicate cycle, with the bag turned inside out and in a laundry bag, using a mild detergent without bleach, enzymes or optical brighteners. Add a colour catcher sheet to the first wash, as the natural dyes may still release some pigment. Check the method on an inconspicuous spot first, then let the bag air-dry, ideally in the shade. No tumble dryer.
