The tray where everything on your Linea PB comes together
Under the drip tray grate of the two-group Linea PB sits the drain tray. It catches rinse water, coffee residue and everything that comes out of the groups during backflushing, and carries it to the drain. You rarely see it, but it is at work with every single shot.
That is exactly why it ages. Coffee oils build up, limescale forms layers, and corrosion develops at the welded seams over time. If the tray can no longer be cleaned properly or starts leaking, sooner or later the water ends up under the machine instead of in it. Part number C.1.152.2.
When it’s due
Replacement is advisable if:
- water collects under the machine even though the drain is clear,
- the tray shows rust or corrosion spots,
- deposits no longer come off, even with cleaner,
- the tray is warped and the grate no longer sits flat.

Important for installation
The tray is connected to the drain and to the group drains, so it sits inside the machine between water-carrying lines. We deliberately do not publish step-by-step instructions for this. The replacement belongs in the hands of a qualified professional who disconnects the machine from the power and water supply beforehand and checks the connections for leaks afterwards.
Who it’s for
For hospitality businesses with a two-group Linea PB in continuous use and for service companies that are working on the lower section anyway during a major overhaul. Check the number of groups: the three- and four-group machines have different trays.
What goes with it
You’ll find more parts under La Marzocco Linea PB spare parts and in the overarching section La Marzocco accessories and spare parts. If you’re doing the base at the same time, you’ll find the raised feet for the Linea PB. Cleaners for the group and tray are available under machine and grinder cleaning.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
In the evening, we don’t just run backflush cleaner through the groups; we also simply pour a litre of hot water into the tray. This flushes the grease layer out of the drain before it hardens – and the trays noticeably last longer as a result. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. The next morning we pull the first espresso with Nutty Delight, for milk drinks we use Cozy Chocolate, for strong cups Very Nutty. More under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the device. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or just drop us a line and we’ll check the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tray also fit a three-group Linea PB?
No. This tray is for the two-group version. For three groups we carry a separate part.
Is the drip tray grate included?
No, what’s supplied is the drain tray. We carry grates separately.
Why is there water under my machine?
Often the drain hose is blocked, but sometimes the tray itself is leaking. Both should be looked at by a qualified professional.
What is the part number?
C.1.152.2. If you have this number from service documentation, you’re in the right place.
Can I pick up the part at the showroom?
Yes. We’re in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Just drop us a line and we’ll have it ready.
