The cover that closes off the GB5 rotary knob again
In a bar, the rotary knob on the GB5 gets handled every minute, usually with damp hands. The cap on top catches what would otherwise run straight into the screw: milk, water, cleaning agent.
This cap has the part number F.1.007 and belongs to the steam and water rotary knob of the GB5. If it is missing, the screw underneath corrodes, and at some point you can no longer get the knob off cleanly.
When it's due
Time for a new cap if you see any of these:
- The cap is missing entirely.
- It is loose and turns along with the knob.
- It is cracked or discoloured.
- The screw underneath already shows limescale or corrosion.

Who it's for
For hospitality businesses with a GB5 that keep their machine complete down to the last detail – and for technicians who replace all missing caps while servicing.
What goes with it
From our workshop
At every GB5 service we check whether all the caps are in place – if one is missing, the screw underneath has almost always been attacked already. That is the order we follow in our workshop, not a manufacturer requirement. For the coffee alongside, we usually grind Very Nutty, because it still holds up even after hours in the hopper.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does the cap fit the GB5 X or S?
Possibly not – some of them have different control elements fitted. Send us the serial number and we'll check before you order.
Is the rotary knob included?
No. Only the cap is supplied.
How do I get the old cap off?
It can be lifted off carefully. If it is stuck, it helps to let the machine cool down first.
Do I need two?
That depends on how many knobs on your machine are affected. Count them quickly before you order.
Can I pick up the part at your showroom?
Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message saying which part you need, and we'll have it ready and look at it together on your machine.
Not sure whether this part fits your machine? Write to us with the model and serial number at [email protected], and we'll check it for you. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
