The gasket that keeps the transition to the group clean
At the group neck of the Strada, the housing meets the brew group. This transition is closed off with a silicone gasket – not to hold pressure, but so that splashes, steam and coffee water stay where they belong and don't run behind the cover panel. In the service documentation it is listed under part number F.1.025.
You usually discover it too late. The first sign isn't a drip but an edge: a pale limescale line or a brownish trace below the group that keeps coming back whenever you clean. Over time, silicone hardens, loses its resilience and no longer closes the gap properly.
When it's due
Traces of moisture or limescale edges appear at the transition between group and housing. The gasket is hard, brittle or cracked. It can be moved by hand instead of sitting snugly. Or the group is open for servicing anyway – in that case, an old silicone gasket should not go back in, because it loses its shape when removed.

Important for installation
The gasket sits directly on the brew group, i.e. on a component that is hot and under pressure during operation. Only work on the machine once it has cooled down and is depressurised. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here. Important from practice: silicone does not tolerate grease containing mineral oil – if you lubricate, use food-grade silicone grease.
Who it's for
For businesses with a Strada where a trace is constantly left below the group, and for service companies that are working at that spot during a group service anyway. A part that costs little and saves a lot of cleaning.
What goes with it
The Viton group cover gasket and the brew group flange gasket are also part of the Strada group. You can find all parts for the machine under Spare parts for the Strada, and all wear parts under Original spare parts.
From our workshop
Here in Bern and Zurich, when there's a trace under the group, the first question is never about the gasket but about the cleaning cloth: if the group neck is wiped with a cloth every day without the spot being dry afterwards, it looks exactly like a leak. Only if the trace also appears overnight do we change the gasket. That's our routine, not a manufacturer specification. Afterwards we test with Nutty Delight, more chocolatey with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty – everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the group head gasket?
No. The group head gasket sits in the group head and seals against the portafilter. This gasket sits at the group neck, where the group passes through the housing.
What are its dimensions?
We don't have any information on this, and we won't guess. Order by the number F.1.025 or send us the serial number of your Strada.
Does it fit all Strada versions?
The service documentation simply names the Strada, without distinguishing between AV, EP or X. Send us the serial number and we'll check.
Can I grease it?
Only with food-grade silicone grease. Greases containing mineral oil attack silicone.
Can I pick up the part at your showroom?
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Send us a quick message beforehand and we'll have the part ready for you.
