Normcore bottomless portafilter, walnut & titanium PVD (58 mm)
Warm walnut wood in hand, the deep black of the PVD coating beneath it, and a clear view of the extraction in the basket. The espresso gathers and flows into the cup in a calm stream – function and material meet.

What makes this portafilter special
Because there are no spouts, you can see the entire extraction process. A steady stream from the centre indicates a balanced extraction, while side splashing suggests channelling – honest feedback to refine grind size, distribution, and tamp. Splashes are not a defect of the portafilter. Profiling is a learning process, not an exam subject, and this is just our view, one of many.
The portafilter is made of stainless steel with a titanium PVD coating and a walnut wood handle. The PVD coating is harder and more corrosion-resistant, barely builds up static electricity, and ensures less coffee adheres to the tool. It comes with a matching filter basket.

Roastery tip
Crema looks particularly beautiful in a bottomless portafilter. For dense, sweet espresso, we like to use Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you prefer a full-bodied, round taste with no acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, grind some Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many, and any bean you enjoy is the right one.
