Walnut wood on the counter, the portafilter resting in it, tamper and distributor next to it. Every tool has its own recess, and while tamping the portafilter sits firmly in the station.
The Normcore Tamping Station is made of American walnut and oak, measures 260 × 125 × 60 mm and is designed for 54 and 58 mm barista accessories. Thanks to the natural grain, every piece is one of a kind. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Normcore.
Normcore designed the station for an orderly workflow: portafilter and tamping accessories each have a fixed place. The portafilter recess is lined with a black insert, next to it are two round recesses with a 60 mm diameter, a small recess of 32 mm, a long slot and two narrow slots.
The solid wood body is sturdy and durable, and the surface feels warm to the touch. A light layer of oak between the walnut shows on the front face, with black feet underneath. A fixed place for every tool makes the ritual calmer. That is our view, one of many.

For anyone who wants to organise their espresso corner and likes wood as a material. Portafilter, tamper and distributor sit in one place, and the rest of the counter stays free. Portafilters with upward-facing spouts do not fit. Every coffee journey is welcome here.
For the tamper: affordable and precise from our Normcore Collection, with more material effort from Weber Workshops. The same applies to puck screens and WDT tools: Normcore or Weber Workshops, both in our range of barista tools.
You will find the machine and portafilter to go with it, from single boiler to dual boiler, in our Coffee Machines Collection, and the right grinder in the Coffee Grinders Collection. If you are still choosing, use our consultation tool. You can see the station live in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). Delivery in 2–4 working days, throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.

Tip from the roastery: A fixed place for every tool keeps the counter tidy, the bean makes the taste. For dense, sweet espresso we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you like full, round body without acidity, stay with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience now and then there is Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
