The Force Tamper Base – interchangeable base for distribution and tamping
The base is the part of the tamper that touches the coffee bed – and its shape determines how the grounds are leveled just before compaction. With the interchangeable bases for The Force Tamper, you can change the pattern depending on your workflow: from a clear ripple structure to distribution patterns that further distribute and level the bed.
This base is intended as an addition to The Force Tamper and is exchanged on the tamper. This turns one tamper into multiple tools – distributing and tamping in one go, in a uniform 58.5 mm.

No. The base is specially made for The Force Tamper and is exchanged on it. It is not compatible with other tampers.
What is the difference between Ripple and the Distribution patterns?
Ripple gives the puck a ribbed structure. The Distribution variants (Flat, Ripple, Waffle) are designed to further distribute and level the coffee bed when placed. Which pattern fits best is also a matter of preference – which is why the bases are interchangeable.
