The pitcher rests in your hand without a handle, the silicone sleeve warm but never hot, and the round spout gives the milk stream exactly the width a flowing line needs.
We are the importer of Normcore in Switzerland and keep the range in stock directly. Anyone who buys an espresso machine from us receives an introductory course of around 60 minutes in Bern, Zurich or online – there we froth and pour together, and a pitcher like this one is exactly the tool for it.
The spout is the last point the milk touches before it meets the crema. It sets the pace, width and fineness of the stream – a little like the nib of a fountain pen sets the line you draw. The shape shapes the picture before your hand even moves.
This pitcher has a round spout. The stream flows a little faster and spreads more widely across the surface. That makes it the natural choice for classic patterns like the heart and tulip and for slightly larger cups, in which the milk has room to breathe. The lines turn out full and soft.
Normcore builds the same shape with a sharp, narrowly tapering spout as well. There the stream becomes a little slower and finer, which makes delicate patterns like the rosetta or swan easier to reach. Both shapes are right – one tells its story broadly, the other draws finely. Which one suits you depends only on how you pour and what you want to pour. You'll find both spouts and the 600 ml size in our Milk Pitcher Collection and the Normcore Collection. That's our observation, one of many.
With latte art there is no right and no wrong, only what pleases you. Even so, a few things help. The milk wants a dense, glossy microfoam that moves like wet paint – without coarse bubbles, without a hard layer of foam on top. It tastes sweetest before it gets too hot, roughly in the range around 60 to 65 degrees.
To pour, you tilt the cup slightly, start from a little height so that milk and espresso combine, and then lower the pitcher close to the surface. A steady wiggle distributes the foam, and at the end you draw through the pattern. The exposed metal base lets you feel with your hand when the milk is warm enough – entirely without a thermometer.
Without a handle you set the angle yourself. You hold the pitcher just as it feels right for your movement, and the heat-resistant silicone sleeve gives you a secure grip. The 1 mm thick stainless steel wall provides a balanced weight in the hand.
The white outer surface is a double Teflon coating that protects the stainless steel and keeps it looking beautiful. So that it stays that way for a long time, the same applies to everything coated and coloured with us: hand-washing only, with a soft sponge and mild washing-up liquid. No dishwasher, no abrasive cleaners, no hard or scratchy sponges. That keeps the surface flawless.

For everyone who pours cappuccino, flat white or latte at home and takes pleasure in the surface. For the calm movement in the morning just as much as for the moment when you lay a heart in someone's cup. The 450 ml size suits most cups for one or two drinks; anyone frothing larger amounts or several cups reaches for the 600 ml version.
The pitcher comes into its own on any machine with a steam wand – from a manual Flair to a La Marzocco from our coffee machines Collection. Anyone looking for an affordable, precise pitcher is well served by Normcore; anyone who wants the especially fine craftsmanship of Weber Workshops will find it in our Weber Workshops Collection.
And beneath the milk foam everything meets the espresso: our Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight give the dense, chocolatey-nutty body that comes into its own especially beautifully beneath white milk.
The round spout gives a slightly broader, flowing stream and suits the heart and tulip well. The sharp spout tapers more narrowly and makes fine lines for the rosetta or swan more accessible. Both are equal – it comes down to your pouring style.
450 ml suits one to two drinks in most cups. 600 ml makes sense if you fill larger cups or froth several cappuccinos in a row.
You clean the white, coated version by hand with a soft sponge and mild washing-up liquid. No dishwasher, no abrasive agents and no hard sponges – that preserves the coating.
It fits any machine with a steam wand. The wide opening gives the wand enough room, and the exposed base lets you feel the temperature with your hand.
Yes, gladly. You can experience it live and hold it in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). You can buy it online throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein, delivery in 2–4 business days.
From the coffee roastery: milk foam lives on the contrast beneath it. A dense, chocolatey espresso from our Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight carries the white drawing most beautifully – the round body holds the line without covering it. Anyone who likes it stronger without any acidity takes Very Nutty; anyone looking for a fruity experience discovers Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
