Rocket Super Fausto burr pair 75 mm – fresh cutting edges for the big grinder
Seventy-five millimetres in diameter is not a detail in a grinder, it is the design principle: large burrs cut at a lower speed, stay cooler and deliver a more even grind. That is exactly what the Super Fausto relies on – as long as the edges are sharp.
This pair replaces both burrs. It is the part you reach for when a grinder has worked well for years and today no longer delivers a clean extraction time despite a finer grind setting.
When it’s due
Dull burrs don’t announce themselves with a fault, but with a gradual decline. You turn the grind setting finer step by step, and the extraction time still stays too short. The ground coffee no longer feels even between your fingers; alongside fine powder it contains visibly coarser pieces.
Then there are the signs you can hear and smell: grinding takes noticeably longer than before for the same dose, the grinder gets louder or rattles, and the ground coffee smells warm instead of like coffee. In the portafilter the same thing shows up as channelling – the shot runs through faster in one spot than in the rest.
Our documentation for this part does not state a throughput in kilograms after which a change would be due. So we don’t make one up. If you’re unsure, send us two photos of the removed burrs and we’ll look at the edges together.

Important for installation
To change the burrs, the grinding mechanism has to be opened. This exposes the motor and its power lead, and after fitting, the burrs have to be aligned with each other. We deliberately don’t give a step-by-step guide here.
The reason is the zero point: after every burr change, you have to find the point again at which the burrs just touch. Anyone who sets it too tight and then runs the grinder ruins the new edges in seconds. Have the change done by a specialist – or bring the grinder to us and we’ll take care of it in the workshop.
Who it’s for
For businesses and ambitious home baristas with a Super Fausto whose grinder runs every day. If you grind large quantities, you’ll reach the point for new burrs in months rather than years.
And for anyone who has taken over a used grinder and wants a defined starting point instead of trusting its history.
What goes with it
The same family includes the 55 mm burrs for the Giannino, the 65 mm burr pair for the Fausto and the burrs for the Faustino V2.
Around the grinding mechanism we also carry the complete bean hopper for the Fausto with the matching rubber sealing ring, as well as the portafilter holder with the rubber sleeves for its screws.

The workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
In Bern and Zurich we clean every grinder before we talk about new burrs. Surprisingly often it isn’t the edge that is dull, but the grinding mechanism that is clogged with old coffee oils – a portion of grinder cleaning granules and a blown-out grinding mechanism then do more than a set of burrs. Only when the grinder is clean and the grind is still uneven do we order burrs. That is our routine from the workshop, not a manufacturer requirement. For the test shots afterwards, we reach for Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate in the workshop, and for maximum body without acidity for Very Nutty; you’ll find the full selection under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we’ll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell whether the burrs are dull and not something else is jamming?
The simplest test is cleaning. If the grinder runs like it used to after a portion of grinder cleaning granules, it was coffee oils and not the edge. If the grind remains uneven afterwards and the grind setting still has to be unusually fine, that points to the burrs.
What is the part number for this part?
We don’t know it. Our documentation lists this part without a part number, and we don’t state one we can’t back up. Send us the number from your service documentation and we’ll confirm the fit.
Are both burrs included?
Yes, the item name states a pair. Our documentation says nothing more than that about the scope of delivery – so we don’t claim screws or washers.
What material are the burrs made of, and do they also fit another grinder?
The material isn’t in our documentation, and the item name mentions only the Super Fausto. We carry separate parts for the Fausto and for the Faustino V2. Our documentation doesn’t say whether a version fits beyond that.
Can I look at the part in your showroom?
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b we have original spare parts on hand, and we’ll check with you whether the version fits your grinder.
Not sure whether the part fits your grinder? Write to us at [email protected] with the model and serial number, and we’ll check the fit together. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
