It holds around 635 grams of beans, enough for a full workday straight through or for several days at home without constant refilling. The Fausto works doserless with programmable time dosing: the hopper feeds the burrs directly, and each portion drops at the press of a button, in the set time.
Why a tight seal decides the taste
A coffee bean holds over 800 compounds, many of them volatile and sensitive to oxygen. Beans exposed to open air contact while waiting in the hopper gradually lose some of this variety – an effect that becomes more noticeable over days than over hours. A hopper with a cleanly closing lid and a proper seal reduces this contact to the minimum, before the bean even reaches the Fausto's burrs.
