Rocket Faustino rubber ring for the bean hopper – the ring that keeps everything in place
It is inconspicuous, yet it does three things at once: it seats the bean hopper firmly on the grinder, it holds it without play, and it stops beans and oil from trickling into the gap when you refill. Once it hardens, the hopper starts to rattle – and the grinder suddenly sounds tinny while grinding.
A new ring costs little and brings back the solid feel a Faustino should have.
When it is due
When the bean hopper wobbles or can be twisted. When the rubber is shiny, hard or torn. When there is coffee dust around the seat after refilling. And whenever you take the grinder apart for a thorough cleaning anyway.

Who it is for
For anyone with a Faustino whose hopper no longer sits firmly. And for single-dose users: if you take the hopper off several times a day, you will wear out this ring much faster than someone who touches it once a year.
Bean hoppers and their parts in our catalogue
We carry fourteen items around the bean hopper, split into four groups. If you are not sure which version is on your grinder, take the hopper off and send us the model and serial number – we will check it rather than guess.
Complete bean hoppers from Rocket, three items: Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino at CHF 69.30; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Fausto at CHF 89.75; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 74.65.
Complete bean hoppers from La Marzocco, four items: Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 111.54; Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Swift Mini at CHF 240.68; Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Jay, part number 1074 at CHF 205.92; Bean shutter kit with bean hopper from La Marzocco, part number C.1.513.R at CHF 115.39.
Bean hopper lids, four items: Bean hopper lid for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 21.55; Bean hopper lid for the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 23.21; Bean hopper lid for the La Marzocco Jay, part number C.2.091.R at CHF 33.66; two-piece bean hopper lid from La Marzocco, part number F.1.177 at CHF 38.39.
Shutters and sealing rings on the hopper, three items: Bean hopper shutter for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 4.95; rubber ring for the bean hopper of the Rocket Faustino, part number R8G4996889 at CHF 11.00 – that is, this product; Rubber sealing ring for the bean hopper of the Rocket Fausto, part number R8G4995938 at CHF 8.80.
Not part of this series, but on the same path the beans take: the coffee chute of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the burrs, and the 0,2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the burrs and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
What goes with it
If the hopper itself is cracked, we carry it complete: Faustino bean hopper complete, and for the new generation the Faustino V2 bean hopper together with the shutter. If you are taking things apart anyway, have a look at the 50 mm burrs. You will find cleaning supplies in the cleaning range for machine and grinder, and everything else under Rocket accessories and spare parts.
Tip from our café
We never clean the ring with washing-up liquid and hot water – that leaches the rubber and makes it hard, exactly what you do not want. Wiping it dry is enough; for an oily film, use a cloth with a little alcohol. This is our workshop routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for maximum body. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the appliance. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does the ring also fit the Fausto?
No. For the Fausto we carry a separate rubber sealing ring for the bean hopper. The hopper diameters are different.
And the Faustino V2?
Send us the serial number and we will check the generation. There are differences in the hopper seat between the series.
How do I replace it?
Remove the hopper, pull off the old ring, wipe the seat dry, fit the new ring. No tools needed, no grease.
How long does a ring like this last?
Several years with normal use. If you take the hopper off daily, think more in months – then it is worth keeping one in reserve.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
