Rocket Fausto rubber sealing ring for the bean hopper – the slim ring that holds the hopper in place
On the Fausto, a slim rubber ring sits between the bean hopper and the grinder. Once the hopper is in place, you can no longer see it, and you only notice its work when it stops doing it.
It keeps the connection tight and dust-proof. If it becomes hard or cracked, the hopper develops play and fine bean dust escapes at the joint. The part number is R8G4995938.
When it is due
The ring is due when the hopper wobbles even though it is seated correctly, when bean dust escapes at the joint, or when the rubber is hard, brittle or torn.
The ring is the first thing to check when the hopper sits loosely – much cheaper than a new hopper and, in most cases, the actual cause.

Who it is for
For anyone with a Fausto whose bean hopper has play or gives off dust at the joint. The replacement is done on the removed hopper, without tools and without working on the grinder.
Our documentation does not state the dimensions or the type of rubber; what is documented is the part number, the material rubber from the item name and the assignment to the Fausto. We do not claim more than that.
Bean hoppers and their parts in our catalogue
We carry fourteen items related to the bean hopper, split into four groups. If you are not sure which version is fitted to your grinder, take off the hopper and send us the model and serial number – we will check it rather than guess.
Complete bean hoppers from Rocket, three items: Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino at CHF 69.30; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Fausto at CHF 89.75; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 74.65.

Slide gates and sealing rings on the hopper, three items: Bean hopper slide gate for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 4.95; Bean hopper rubber ring for the Rocket Faustino, part number R8G4996889 at CHF 11.00; bean hopper rubber sealing ring for the Rocket Fausto, part number R8G4995938, at CHF 8.80 – i.e. this product.
Not in this series, but along the same path of the bean: the coffee funnel of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the grinding mechanism, and the 0,2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the grinding mechanism and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
What goes with it
The matching hopper is the complete bean hopper for the Fausto; for the Faustino, we carry the bean hopper rubber ring as a separate item.
Also for the same grinder: the 65 mm burrs and, for the larger version, the 75 mm burrs of the Super Fausto.
The related categories are Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts, Rocket accessories and spare parts and Original spare parts. For care: Grinder cleaning with Puly Grind.
The workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
In the workshop, we always replace the sealing ring as well whenever the hopper is off anyway for a thorough cleaning. The ring costs little, and taking things apart a second time for a part you already had in your hand is the most pointless work there is. This is our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement. For the supply up top, in the workshop we reach for Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate, and for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty; the full selection is in Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell that the sealing ring is due?
The hopper wobbles even though it is seated correctly, fine bean dust escapes at the joint, or the rubber is hard and cracked.
Does the ring also fit the Faustino?
No. The item name specifies the Fausto. For the Faustino, we carry a separate rubber ring with its own part number.
How big is the ring?
Our documentation does not include the inner diameter, cross-section or type of rubber. What is documented is the part number R8G4995938 and the assignment to the Fausto; we therefore do not give any dimensions.
Do I get one ring or a set?
Our documentation does not say. Drop us a line and we will check the quantity for you before you order.
Can I see the part in your showroom?
Yes. Original spare parts are available in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we will check with you whether the version fits your grinder.
Not sure whether the part fits your grinder? Write to us at [email protected] with the model and serial number, and we will check the fit together. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
