Eureka Mignon Oro Stark Chrome – espresso grinder with 65mm Pure Diamond burrs

The 65mm Pure Diamond burrs work quietly, the grounds fall loose and clump-free into the portafilter. It stops on its own once the programmed time is up. The Mignon Oro Stark is the flagship of the Mignon Oro line – a grind-by-time grinder with touchscreen and all-metal build in the compact Mignon format. Coffee Coaching Club carries the Eureka range; Eureka has been manufacturing in Florence, Italy for over 100 years. This version is fully chrome-plated; the Oro Stark is also available in matte black with chrome.
65mm Pure Diamond burrs and ELR
The 65mm flat burrs are the patented Pure Diamond grinding discs. The special treatment keeps them sharp noticeably longer and delivers a consistent particle size distribution over time. The ELR system (Extreme Low Retention) keeps residue in the grinding chamber low and delivers dosing consistency of around ± 0.2 g. The ACE-System (Anti-Clump & Electrostaticity) reduces clumping and static charge – the grounds fall loosely into the portafilter.
Touchscreen and grind-by-time
Through the touchscreen you program two dosing times in 0.1-second increments plus a manual pull. The grind setting adjusts steplessly and micrometrically – fine adjustments from espresso to filter, with no fixed notches. The height-adjustable, rubberised hands-free fork fits all portafilters, including bottomless ones. High-speed maintenance gives you quick access to the grinding chamber without losing your grind setting.
All-metal and Silent Technology
Base, hopper lid and outlet are made of polished aluminium – a fully metal build that keeps the grinder stable and quiet on the counter. The bean hopper holds 300 g. Silent Technology reduces noise to around 60 dB. At 7.4 kg, the Oro Stark sits firmly with low vibration.

Is the Oro Stark available in other finishes?
This version is fully chrome-plated. The Oro Stark is also available in matte black with chrome – the burr set and technology are identical.
Grind by time or Single Dose?
The Oro Stark doses by programmed time from the 300 g bean hopper – ideal for several shots back to back. If you grind a fresh single dose per shot and switch beans often, a single-dose grinder suits you better.
How high is the retention?
Low, thanks to the ELR system – dosing consistency is around ± 0.2 g. For frequent bean changes without stock in the hopper, a single-dose grinder is better suited.
How loud is it?
Around 60 dB thanks to Silent Technology – noticeably quieter than conventional grinders. The truest impression comes from experiencing it in person at the showroom.
Can I see it before buying?
Of course. In Bern and Zürich Oerlikon you can experience the grinder live. Bringing your own beans is welcome.

The 65mm Pure Diamond burrs bring body and clarity at once. For a round, chocolatey-nutty espresso, reach for Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. If you're after maximum body with no acidity, reach for Very Nutty. Work your way to your setting in small steps. This is our recommendation, one of many.
