Flair 2GO – portable manual lever espresso machine for on the go
In just a few moves, the flat case turns into a lever press: add coffee, pour in hot water, pull the lever, keep an eye on the pressure gauge. Whether on a balcony in Bern, in a city park in Zurich or in a backpack in the Alps – the espresso happens wherever you are.
Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Flair Espresso. The Flair 2GO is the travel version of the Flair family: built to fold down small and pull lever espresso on the go. It needs no electricity.
Features of the Flair 2GO
Portable espresso with a manual lever
Flair built the 2GO for everyone who wants their espresso when travelling, too. The manual lever gives you control over every brewing variable – the espresso from the 2GO is entirely yours.
Small enough for home and office
The 2GO isn’t only meant for travel. The foldable frame can be stored anywhere – a good fit for small kitchens or for espresso at the office.
Foldable frame with case
The moulded case holds everything you need for espresso and stays easy to carry. It measures 253 × 135 × 104 mm.
Pressure gauge for brewing at 9 bar
Pressure determines which aromas are released from the coffee grounds. With the included pressure gauge, you can see where you stand during the pull. The 2GO brews in the range of 6 to 9 bar.
The details in everyday use
The brew cylinder is thin-walled and sits in a silicone sleeve. According to Flair, no preheating is needed. This version works with ground coffee via a bottomless 2-in-1 portafilter of 40 mm – you can watch the extraction directly from below.
Flair specifies 12 to 18 g of coffee, 60 ml of water in the cylinder and up to 45 ml in the cup. A ratio of 1:2 makes a good starting point, so around 32 g of espresso from 16 g of coffee. From there, your taste decides.
The case holds the frame, the brew cylinder with silicone sleeve, the bottomless 2-in-1 portafilter, the pressure gauge with piston, a stainless steel tamper and dispersion screen, and a dosing funnel.

Who the Flair 2GO is for
For anyone who wants to bring lever espresso along – to the holiday home, to the office, on a trip, into the mountains. And for anyone with little space at home. Nobody needs a lever machine. Whoever wants one knows why. You’ll find more models in our Flair Espresso collection.
Not sure which machine suits you? Our advice tool narrows down the choice. If you’d like to compare several machines side by side, you can book the comparison workshop in the showroom – an option, not a requirement.
What goes with it
For on the go without electricity, a hand grinder is a good fit: Timemore or Comandante. If you’d like to grind electrically at home, you’ll find suitable grinders from Varia and Weber Workshops. For weighing dose and yield: compact and precise from Normcore, with app and flow rate from Acaia. For milk drinks, a Subminimal NanoFoamer, plus beans from our coffee roastery.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to preheat the Flair 2GO?
No. Flair explicitly describes the thin-walled brew cylinder with silicone sleeve as a cylinder that needs no preheating.
Do I need a separate grinder for the Flair 2GO?
Yes. This version works with ground coffee via the bottomless portafilter and needs a grinder capable of an espresso grind. For on the go, a hand grinder like the Comandante C40 or a Timemore is a good fit.
How much coffee and water fit in the Flair 2GO?
Flair specifies 12 to 18 g of coffee, 60 ml of water in the cylinder and a yield of up to 45 ml.
How big is the Flair 2GO when folded?
The case measures 253 × 135 × 104 mm and weighs around 1.67 kg with its contents. The frame alone measures 89 × 178 × 83 mm when folded.
Can I see the Flair 2GO before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we’ll check whether the Flair 2GO is currently on display.
Roastery tip: For on the go, a dense, full-bodied bean like Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight is a good match – it stays round even when the water temperature varies. If you’re looking for maximum body without acidity, there’s Very Nutty. That’s our recommendation, one of many.
