MHW-3BOMBER Square Knock Box 1.2 l – knock out your coffee puck quietly and cleanly
A short, dull knock, and the coffee puck drops into the box. The silicone-covered knock bar absorbs the impact instead of clattering loudly. The Square Knock Box from MHW-3BOMBER in Black holds 1.2 litres and, with its square shape, sits compactly next to your espresso machine.
The box is made of durable ABS plastic, silicone and stainless steel and, according to the manufacturer, suits most espresso machines. It stands freely and takes up little counter space.
Features
Silicone-covered knock bar
The silicone-covered knock bar dampens impact and noise and protects your portafilter when you knock out.
Bevelled opening
The curved, bevelled opening keeps the grounds inside the box and prevents them from splashing over the rim when you knock out.
1.2 litres for everyday use
The box holds around 1.2 litres, about 12 to 15 coffee pucks according to the manufacturer. How many it is for you depends on your dose and on how wet the pucks are.
Stable and easy to clean
The non-slip base keeps the box in place while you knock out. To clean it, empty the box, rinse it briefly or wipe it out with a damp cloth and let it air-dry.
In our experience, it is best to empty a knock box daily; that keeps it clean and the grounds are easy to dispose of, for example in the compost.

The knock bar is covered in silicone. This dampens noise and impact and protects your portafilter.
How do I clean the knock box?
Empty the box and rinse it briefly or wipe it out with a damp cloth. Then let it air-dry.
Will the box suit my machine?

How quickly will my order arrive?

Can I see the knock box before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Just check with us beforehand whether the knock box is currently there.
Tip from our roastery: In our experience, the puck comes out most cleanly when you knock out the portafilter right after the shot, with one short, firm knock on the bar rather than several hesitant ones. For the next espresso we like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, full-bodied, chocolatey and nutty. Very Nutty, a strong robusta from India, brings maximum body. If you would like to discover a fruity note, you will find it in Wild Peach. That’s our recommendation, one of many.
