Oak above the glass, warm and matt, and when you lift it off, the wood sits in your hand differently from anything else on the grinder.
There's exactly one movement on a grinder that comes first every morning: taking off the lid. What you touch as you do it shapes the feeling of the next five minutes more than the technology behind it ever could. Dopamine is released in anticipation, not only during enjoyment, and the anticipation begins at this lid.
Profitec makes it from oak to match its own Customization Line Oak and has tailored it to the bean hopper of the PRO T64. The wood takes on the warmth of the room instead of feeling cool, and the open grain makes every piece a little different.
To be honest: your espresso won't get measurably better from it. That isn't the point either. Nobody buys a different lid because it would make the grind finer, but because the grinder then looks different and feels different. That's a legitimate decision, and we describe it as it is. If you want it, you know why, and our opinion is one of many.

For everyone with a PRO T64 who wants to take their grinder where it belongs visually. For everyone who likes wood on machine and grinder and matches the elements to each other. And for everyone who sees their coffee corner as a place, not a workstation.
You'll find more hoppers, lids and canisters in our bean hoppers and storage canisters. There, the simple solution stands next to the elaborate one, and no budget is merely a starting point.
If you're working on your grinder setup right now: for anyone who wants to grind affordably and precisely, the Varia VS3 from our Varia collection, the Comandante C40 and the hand grinders from Timemore are strong answers. If you want more, you'll arrive at the Varia VS6, the Weber EG-1 from the Weber Workshops collection or the Option-O Lagom. The full range is in our coffee grinders, and burr sets are like car engines: subjective, there's no single best.
Dosing calls for a cup and a scale. For anyone who wants both affordable and precise: the dosing cups and scales from our Normcore collection. If you want an app, Bluetooth and a flow-rate display, you'll find that at Acaia.
Profitec specifies it for the PRO T64. The manufacturer doesn't confirm it for other grinders. If you're unsure, send us your grinder's item number and we'll check the fit before you order.
Oak. It's part of the Profitec Customization Line Oak and matches the colour of the other oak elements in this line.
Mainly feel and looks. The lid is the part you touch first every morning, and wood feels different from plastic. Dopamine is released already in anticipation, not only during enjoyment, and this movement is part of the anticipation. Nobody needs it. You either want it or you don't.
Yes, Profitec's Customization Line Oak. It includes further oak elements that let you match grinder and machine to each other.
Yes. In our showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, you can see it in person and hold the wood in your hand.

What ends up in the cup is also down to the bean. From our coffee roastery, Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are our main recommendation: full-bodied, aromatic, dense, with caramel, chocolate and nuts. If you're after maximum body with no acidity at all, reach for Very Nutty.
And for curious days, Wild Peach is ready, lively and fruity. That's our recommendation, one of many. Any bean you enjoy is the right one, including the one from the supermarket.
