The milk swirls, glossy, in the pitcher, the spout tips in, and the white surface turns into a shape that holds.
Latte art comes about in two places: while frothing and while pouring. The second depends almost entirely on the pitcher. The spout on this model is optimised to release the stream in a focused, controlled way, so the foam arrives where you want it instead of sinking into the crema. Inside there's a measuring scale for portioning the amount before you even turn on the steam wand. The pitcher holds up to 550 millilitres, or 19 ounces, and comes in matte black.
There's good reason to say the picture in the cup is more than decoration. Vessel, colour and material measurably change how we perceive what we drink, and anticipation is part of the enjoyment: dopamine is released while anticipating, not only with the first sip. What you see before you drink, you taste too.
Whether a rosetta works out or not is completely beside the point. The cappuccino still tastes good when the foam is simply soft and glossy. There's no right and no wrong. Our opinion is one of many.

For anyone who makes two cappuccinos in the morning and wants a size that handles both in one go. For anyone just starting to steam milk who wants a pitcher that keeps the stream in order for them. And for anyone with a matte black machine who'd rather nothing next to it shines.
550 millilitres is the size that comfortably serves two to three cups. If you'd rather work one cup at a time, you'll find smaller pitchers among our milk pitchers and barista jugs, and the matching machines with a steam wand in the Profitec collection.
Milk needs espresso, and espresso needs preparation. For anyone who wants an affordable, precise tamper and WDT tool: the Spring-Loaded Tamper and the WDT tool from our Normcore collection. If you want more: the Weber Workshops tampers and the Moonraker.
If you work by weight ratio rather than by time, you'll also need a scale. The Normcore scales are affordable, compact and reliable; the Acaia coffee scales add an app, Bluetooth and a flow-rate display. And for the beans themselves, it's worth looking at our own coffee roastery, because milk drinks need something that holds its own against the sweetness of the milk.
Up to 550 millilitres, or 19 ounces. Inside there's a measuring scale for portioning the amount before frothing.
With 550 millilitres you can serve two to three milk drinks in one go without refilling in between.
Yes. Profitec has optimised the spout to release a focused stream. Whether a rosetta works out still comes down to milk, foam and practice in the end, and soft, glossy foam tastes good even without a pattern.
Yes. In our showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, you can see it in person. Buying online is the normal route.

In milk drinks it quickly shows whether a bean has body. From our coffee roastery we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight for this: dense, sweet, with caramel, chocolate and nuts, and that's exactly why they carry through the milk. Very Nutty is the choice if you want it even stronger, with no acidity at all.
If you're curious, try Wild Peach with milk for once – fruity and surprising. That's our recommendation, one of many. Any bean you enjoy will work.
