Profitec side panels PRO 600 – magnetic colour panels in yellow, green and blue

One move, a short click, and the machine on the counter suddenly looks different from yesterday.

Changing colour without touching the machine

The side panels attach magnetically to the stainless steel housing of the PRO 600. No tools, no screws, no conversion. You take off the existing panel, put the coloured one on, and the machine wears a different face. Profitec calls the range #vibesides and offers it in three colours: joyful yellow, enthusiastic green and calm blue.

That sounds like a side issue, but it isn't. Perception begins before the first sip: the colour, material and shape of an object measurably change how we rate what's inside, and the same goes for the machine we stand at every morning. Dopamine is released in anticipation, not only in the enjoyment. A kitchen where the machine draws you in creates more moments in which you actually use it.

Nobody needs a coloured side panel. It won't make the espresso denser or sweeter. You want it or you don't, and both are completely fine. If you want it, you know why. Our opinion is one of many.

Who the colour panels are for

For anyone who has a PRO 600 and fancies a different look without buying a new machine. For anyone who changes their kitchen with the seasons and wants the machine to follow suit. And for anyone who'd simply like a yellow machine but doesn't want to make that decision once and for all.

You'll find the matching machines, grinders and more accessories in the Profitec collection. In Bern and Zurich you can see the colours in person in the showroom light, and if you want to buy Profitec accessories in Switzerland, you can also get them from us online, no detours.

What goes well with it

A lot changes in the look; for flavour, the biggest lever is still the grinder. For anyone who wants an affordable, precise coffee grinder: the Varia VS3, or the Comandante C40 as a hand grinder. If you want larger burrs and more ease of use: the Varia VS6, the Weber Workshops EG-1 or an Option-O Lagom. Burr sets are like car engines, subjective, and no budget is just a beginning.

When tamping, it's straightness that matters, not force. For anyone who wants an affordable, precise tamper: the Normcore Spring-Loaded Tamper with a defined pressure point from the Normcore collection. If you want more weight and more elaborate craftsmanship: the tampers from Weber Workshops.

Frequently asked questions

Which colours are available?

Three: yellow, green and blue. Profitec calls them joyful yellow, enthusiastic green and calm blue and lists them under the item numbers AC500039-00, AC500040-00 and AC500041-00. There are no other colours in this range.

Do the side panels fit my machine?

They're made for the Profitec PRO 600 and attach magnetically to the housing. For the current generation, Profitec also names the RIDE as a compatible machine. If you're unsure, send us your machine's item number and we'll clarify it in advance.

How many panels come with one order?

Profitec doesn't state a quantity for this, and we won't make one up. If you want to know exactly before ordering, drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll check it for your order.

Do I need to unscrew anything?

No. The panels are held magnetically and can be taken off and put on by hand. The machine itself stays unchanged.

Can I see the product before buying?

Yes. In our showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b you can see the colours in person. Buying online remains the usual route, and this text gives you everything you need for it.

How quickly do you deliver, and where to?

We deliver within 2 to 4 working days throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. The quickest way to get answers to your questions is by email to [email protected] or by phone during business hours.

From our coffee roastery

When the machine looks new, the first espresso of the morning tastes different anyway. From our coffee roastery, we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight: dense, aromatic and full-bodied, with caramel, chocolate and nuts.

If you're after body without any acidity, reach for Very Nutty, and for the curious, Wild Peach brings a fruity, lively note. That's our recommendation, one of many, and any other bean you enjoy works just as well.

Questions about fit or your order? Write to us at [email protected] or visit us at coffeecoachingclub.ch. The showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b are open during business hours.
