Flair Classic + Pressure Kit – Manual Espresso Press with Pressure Gauge
Glossy black, the red portafilter base, the lever in your hand. Now you fill the brew cylinder, position the lever and pull – with no electricity, no capsules, no pump. On the Pressure Kit's gauge you watch the pressure as the espresso runs dark and thick from the bottomless portafilter. Afterwards you break the machine down into a few parts and pack it into the carrying case.
Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Flair Espresso. The Flair Classic is the portable hand-lever press in the Flair lineup – here in the Pressure Kit variant, which adds a stainless steel tamper and a pressure gauge.
What defines the Flair Classic
The Classic works 100% manually: you fill around 60 ml of hot water into the standard brew head, load the puck and build up pressure yourself through the lever. The bottomless 2-in-1 portafilter holds 12 to 18 grams and runs with or without a spout. The removable brew head makes cleaning straightforward, and the whole machine breaks down to fit the included carrying case – ideal for travel, the office or a holiday apartment. The Pressure Kit adds a stainless steel tamper and a pressure gauge that keeps you informed of the brew pressure.
A brief hot-water rinse through the brew head stabilizes the temperature before the shot. As with every Flair: an espresso-capable grinder with fine adjustment is required – without the right grind size, the shot runs too fast or stalls.

Who the Flair Classic is for
The Classic is for anyone who wants portable, power-free lever espresso – a setup that packs into a case and works anywhere there's hot water. Anyone looking for a larger portafilter with a stainless steel brew path will find it in the Flair 49 Pro; anyone who wants the 58 mm industry standard and electric preheating, in the Flair 58+2. Nobody needs a lever machine – anyone who wants one knows why.
What goes with it
An espresso-capable grinder is a must – as a hand grinder for the fully power-free setup, the Comandante C40 or one from the Timemore Collection, electric from the Varia Collection. For weighing, a scale from Normcore or Acaia, for milk drinks a Subminimal NanoFoamer. Plus fresh beans from our coffee roastery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the Pressure Kit?
The Pressure Kit adds a stainless steel tamper and a pressure gauge to the Flair Classic, letting you read the brew pressure during the shot.
Do I need my own grinder?
Yes. The Classic is a pure espresso press without a built-in grinder. For the bottomless portafilter you need an espresso-capable grinder, such as the Comandante C40, Timemore, or a grinder from the Varia Collection.
Is the Flair Classic suitable for travel?
Yes. It needs no electricity, breaks down into a few parts and fits in the included carrying case. A kettle is enough to operate it.
Can I see the Flair Classic before buying?
In the showrooms in Bern and Zürich you can see it live and experience the lever pull yourself.
Roastery Tip
On the Classic, our Cozy Chocolate runs beautifully dense and chocolatey, while the Nutty Delight makes a well-rounded daily driver. Rinse the brew head briefly with hot water before the first shot, and the temperature sits right. That's our recommendation, one of many.
