Hario Coffee Mill OCTO – Octagonal Hand Grinder with Ceramic Burrs
The octagonal shape fits comfortably in your hand, providing a secure grip while grinding, and the ceramic burrs deliver a consistent grind – quietly, freshly, by hand.
The OCTO brings octagonal design to your counter and your backpack. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
Shape and Grinder
The octagonal body provides a firm grip while grinding and stands stably. The ceramic burrs grind evenly, stay sharp for a long time, and do not heat the coffee grounds. The grind size is continuously adjustable – this provides a wide, finely dosable range from filter to French Press.

Who it's for
For everyone who wants a compact hand grinder with a good grip and stepless adjustment – at home and on the go. If you want to grind very finely for espresso and consistently, check out the Comandante or electric coffee grinders.
What goes with it
A V60 NEO 02 or an AeroPress, filter paper from the Hario collection and a scale from the Normcore range. Beans like the round Nutty Delight or the fruity Wild Peach.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the grind size adjusted?
Continuously on the grinder – this allows for fine tuning from filter to French Press.
What material is the grinder made of?
Ceramic. Ceramic burrs stay sharp for a long time and do not heat the coffee grounds.
Is the OCTO suitable for espresso?
It is primarily made for filter, French Press, and pour-over. Very consistent, espresso-fine grinding is more reliably achieved with steel conical burr grinders or electric grinders.
Roaster's Tip
The stepless adjustment invites experimentation – one or two clicks coarser or finer will noticeably change the cup. Round with Nutty Delight, light with Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
