So that the beans in the Jay stay covered
The Jay usually stands right next to the machine, where steaming, rinsing and knocking out happen. The lid on the bean hopper is what separates the beans from all that – and that is exactly why it regularly falls off.
This lid belongs to the La Marzocco Jay and has the part number C.2.091.R. A replacement is quickly obtained and costs less than grinding with an open hopper for a week.
When it is due
Time for a new lid if you see any of these:
- It is cracked or a piece has broken off.
- It no longer sits flat and slips during grinding.
- The plastic is cloudy and scratched.
- The lid simply can no longer be found – that happens in every bar too.

With us in Bern and Zurich, the Jay runs with as few beans as possible in the hopper – refill rather than stockpile. This is our way of working, not a manufacturer requirement, but the difference in the cup is clear after two days. It is most noticeable with light roasts; then we like to use the Cozy Chocolate.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does the lid only fit the Jay?
It is listed as a part of the Jay. For other grinders we stock separate lids – ask us and we will find the right one.
Is the bean hopper included?
No. The lid is supplied on its own.
What is the best way to clean it?
Wipe it out dry. Washing-up liquid and heat leave residues that the beans absorb.
How long does delivery take?
Usually 2-4 working days across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. If the part is not in stock, we will get back to you with a date.
Can I pick up the part from your showroom?
