Why a dedicated dosing scale
Espresso begins with the weigh-in. How much coffee goes into the portafilter, together with the output weight, determines the ratio – and with it whether the cup turns out round and sweet. The Dose Scale shows your dose to within 0.1 gram, up to 1 kilogram, so every morning starts from the same point.
It's deliberately compact: the stainless steel platform measures 69 × 69 millimetres, enough for dosing cups and small vessels, and the tray lifts off for cleaning. After three minutes without load it switches itself off, saving the batteries. No shot is ever quite the same – the bean, the humidity, and you yourself change daily; the scale gives you the fixed point to adjust from. Our opinion is one of many.
