Weber Workshops Blind Shaker without magnet – for 58mm
The same Blind Shaker, just without the magnet in the base: you grind into it, put the lid on, give it a quick shake and pull the plug over the 58 mm basket. Static and clumps break up, and the coffee falls cleanly into the basket.
This version comes without a fitted magnet – which makes it suitable for grinders with unknown or reversed polarity, such as Varia, Timemore Sculptor, DF or Option-O. Coffee Coaching Club is an importer of Weber Workshops.

What sets the Blind Shaker apart
Shaking in the closed cup takes the static charge out of freshly ground coffee, breaks up clumps and distributes the grounds. According to Weber, this reduces static and channelling and increases extraction yield. The inner surface is polished with Weber’s own process, so hardly any coffee sticks to it – without a coating.

With or without magnet
If you use a Weber grinder (EG-1, Key) and want the magnetic self-centring, go for the Blind Shaker with magnet. For all other grinders, this version without magnet is the right choice. If you switch between 58 and 49 mm, take a look at the Blind Tumbler.

Frequently asked questions
Why a Blind Shaker without magnet?
Some other grinders have magnets with unknown or reversed polarity that would repel a magnet in the shaker. Without a magnet, this problem doesn’t arise.
Which grinders is this version suitable for?
For example Varia, Timemore Sculptor, DF grinders and Option-O – basically any grinder where you don’t need or want a magnet.
Otherwise, does it work like the regular Blind Shaker?
Yes, same body, same lid, same inner surface and same pull plug – just without the magnet in the base.
Roastery tip
Without the magnet, you briefly hold the shaker under the grinder chute by hand while grinding – one or two calm shakes are enough. With forgiving profiles such as Nutty Delight, the process works especially cleanly. That’s our recommendation, one of many.
