You've set the target temperature, the device heats the milk precisely to that value and stops by itself – with fine, consistent foam, without needing to master any special frothing technique.
The MS-130T is a standalone milk frother with digital temperature control from 40 to 90 °C in 1-degree increments. It operates independently of your espresso machine and only needs a power outlet. It is particularly useful for Flair lever machines, which do not have steam, and for single-boiler machines, where a heating pause would be necessary after brewing – allowing you to froth the milk parallel to the espresso.
The nozzle design breaks up large bubbles and automatically creates a fine, consistent texture. You select the target temperature, and the device stops automatically when it is reached. The result is reproducible – although the foam quality also depends on the milk.

The MS-130T is designed for automation and repeatability. If you're looking for the classic technique with a pitcher and steam wand, you won't find it here. Hard water will eventually leave limescale in the thermoblock – water hardness varies greatly in Switzerland, so filtered water and regular cleaning will extend the lifespan. And at around 6.7 kg, the device is stable but not lightweight for constant repositioning. This is our assessment, one of many.
Above about 70 °C, milk loses some of its natural sweetness because the lactose denatures; the foam becomes less stable and the intrinsic flavor becomes flatter. At 60 to 65 °C, the milk is usually at its sweetest and creamiest – precisely this range can be precisely set on the MS-130T.
For anyone who wants to prepare milk-based drinks without a steam wand or froth parallel to brewing – whether with a Flair, a single-boiler machine, or simply as an independent device on the counter. And for anyone who appreciates a reproducible milk temperature without practice.
The MS-130T complements various setups: Flair lever machines that don't have steam, and single-boiler espresso machines for parallel frothing. Yes, it works with all types of milk and plant-based alternatives. Barista versions of oat or soy milk generally provide the most consistent foam quality.

As a coffee roastery, we like milk that retains its sweetness at 60 to 65 °C. Full-bodied roasts like Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight pair particularly well with creamy whole milk in this range. This is our recommendation, one of many.
