Acaia Cup with Spout 120 ml – Double-Walled Catch-Cup with Pouring Lip
The espresso flows directly from the portafilter into the cup, and when you lift it, the stream cleanly detaches from the pouring lip – a thin, controlled thread that allows you to split the shot or distribute it into two cups without spilling. Inside, the coffee stays hot, while the stainless steel remains cool to the touch on the outside.
It's a small tool for a precise maneuver: catching, holding, pouring cleanly.
What makes the Acaia Cup with Spout special
The difference from a classic cup is the shaped pouring lip. It channels the stream, allowing you to pour espresso in a controlled manner or evenly divide a shot – practical when you catch it directly under the portafilter and then pour it precisely. This catch-cup is designed specifically for that.
Like the cup without a spout, this one is also double-walled: The insulating layer between the inner and outer walls keeps the espresso noticeably warmer for longer than a single-walled cup, while the exterior remains cool enough for a comfortable grip. The material is robust 304 stainless steel (SUS304), BPA-free. The cups are stackable, taking up little space – at the counter or in the kitchen. Whether you prefer to work with a spout or without is a matter of taste; this is just our perspective, one of many.

Who the Cup with Spout is made for
The Cup with Spout is for anyone who wants to catch their espresso directly under the portafilter and then pour or divide it in a controlled manner – whether for daily home brewing or at the counter. Those who prefer to drink and serve from a classic, wide opening will find the version without a spout in our Acaia Collection. Both forms share the same double-walled construction. We welcome every coffee journey.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Acaia Cup with Spout
What do I use the Cup with Spout for?
As a catch-cup: You catch the espresso directly under the portafilter and pour it controllably over the shaped pouring lip – for example, to evenly distribute a shot into two small cups.
Is the Acaia Cup with Spout dishwasher safe?
No. Clean it by hand with warm water and a soft cloth, without abrasive cleaners or sponges. It is also not microwave safe.
How does it differ from the version without a spout?
This version has a shaped pouring lip for controlled pouring and is suitable as a catch-cup. The version without a spout has a wide, round opening and is the classic drinking and serving shape. You can find both in our Acaia Collection.
What material is it made of and how much does it hold?
It holds 120 ml (4 oz) and is made of double-walled 304 stainless steel – robust, BPA-free, and stackable.
Roastery Tip
We like to use the Cup with Spout to cleanly divide a double shot into two small cups – which is fun when tasting together. For flavor, we then like to choose Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight – full-bodied, sweet, dense. If you prefer it full and round without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. This is our recommendation, one of many, and any bean you like is the right one.
