Eureka Disko – Automatic Tamper, Freestanding
Portafilter into the fork, the sensor detects it, and after around 1.5 seconds the ground coffee is tamped. The Eureka Disko is a freestanding automatic tamper.
The tamping pressure can be set between 10 and 30 kg, and if you wish, the Disko tamps twice in a row. The fork is height-adjustable and takes single, double and bottomless portafilters. A metal sensor detects the portafilter automatically; no buttons are needed.
The housing is made of metal, and rubber feet keep the Disko stable on the counter. In Clean Mode the tamper disc lowers and can be removed for cleaning when needed. A hex key and a brush are included.
Consistent pressure is one variable less. How the espresso tastes is still decided by the bean, the grind size and the weight ratio, with 1:2 as a starting point. Our opinion is one of many: some prefer to tamp by hand, others value the repeatability.

Does the Disko fit my portafilter?

Which variant do I need?
The Disko 58.3 mm for 58 mm portafilters. The set with the 54.3 mm kit if you also use a 54 mm portafilter. The 54.3 mm kit on its own if you already have a Disko.
Can I see the product before buying?

Tip from the roastery: With consistent tamping pressure, you taste the differences between beans more clearly. We recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, full-bodied with chocolate and nut. If you want maximum body without acidity, go for Very Nutty. For the curious: Wild Peach, fruity and lively. That is our recommendation, one of many.
